Thankfully, they got to the building in question without incident. Dirk set Jake down on a couch in what looked like a reception area for a doctor's office, perhaps, and barricaded the door. Then he returned to the couch and opened his bag, pulling out the meager medical supplies they had acquired. He found a miraculously clean roll of paper towels in the office and saturated a folded stack of them with an antiseptic and slowly unbound the makeshift bandage from Jake's lack of arm.
