Dirk watched him, smoothing the medical tape holding his IV in absently and glancing at the liquid.
"...oh," he thought out loud. "They've got painkillers, but they're pills. I wanted to give 'em to you before, but... Nothing intravenous, so you're gonna have to swallow 'em."
