This is a generic Jakepost to reply to. Because the meme post was all Jake and has some inconceivable amount of comments now so it doesn't like to load. Have at, my lovelies.

He closed his eyes and nuzzled back. "You're welcome, but don't thank me until I've successfully wrangled your stubborn arse into wellness."

"I have an immune system of steel," Jake countered, kissing him again. But then he pulled away to hold up a spoonful of soup for Dirk to eat.

He did, generally. His nervous stomach aside Jake was a pretty healthy kid. Except for when he worried himself into a state of overdrive and overdid it. But that was an entirely different story. He reached out with his free hand to take Dirk's shaking one to still it, rubbing his thumb inside of the Strider's palm lightly.

It's so. Tennnnderrrrr. Jake chuckled a little at Dirk's squeezing, wrapping his fingers around the rest of his hand and squeezing back. He dutifully kept at feeding him soup, determined to get proper sustenance in him. He couldn't very well recover without getting his strength back.

Dirk don't make yourself more sick just to put up with Jake's domestic tendencies. If you don't want the soup, tell him you don't want the soup. He can take it.

He sat back on his haunches and waited, setting the spoon down in the bowl of soup. He supposed he'd never really fed someone before, so this was a learning experience on all fronts. He waited about as patiently as he could, giving Dirk a thorough once-over. Despite how dark his skin was, he looked pale, and it was really sort of upsetting.

"Sorry, chap-- you all right?"

Jake shook his head and sat back a little farther, leaning back on his hands.

"Suppose I took it a bit far, with that. I just didn't want you to spill soup all over yourself-- it's pretty hot." He's just worried, Dirk. Forgive him for mother henning like crazy.

A quiet snort, and Jake shook his head for a different reason.

"You're shameless," he muttered, but moved closer and trailed a finger down Dirk's jaw. "Though I wouldn't be against helping you sweat out the fever."

A chuckle, and Jake scooted closer to nose at Dirk's temple.

"Let your soup settle for a bit, first," he said quietly, smoothing his hands over the blonde's shoulders.

Another chuckle and a roll of his eyes, and Jake kissed the corner of Dirk's mouth. He continued to smooth his palms over whatever of Dirk he could get to, letting him lean and soothing him with his hands and quiet murmurs of nonsense.

This was a good sign. Dirk wasn't really the most relaxed human being Jake had ever experienced, so that he was actually relaxing and taking it easy when he really needed to was good, as far as Jake was concerned. He continued to pepper little kisses about Dirk's person, still smoothing his hands where he could. He had taken to humming some sort of tune, at this point.

Damn straight he wouldn't get better if he pushed himself. And Jake wouldn't let him push himself.

His hands, after a while, got a little more wayward, and shifted to explore downward.

He was honestly a little worried about doing anything with Dirk when he was so sick, because he'd already slipped in and out of consciousness enough times to be seen as narcoleptic. But then, if he stopped now he'd look like a tease, since he sort of propositioned Dirk for it already. Besides, the fastest way to regulate a body temperature was to sweat a fever out, so...

He chuckled a little at the peck and went straight for the gold, sliding his fingertips beneath the blanket on his own bed, only to bypass the family jewels and tease the inside of Dirk's thigh.
