This is a generic Jakepost to reply to. Because the meme post was all Jake and has some inconceivable amount of comments now so it doesn't like to load. Have at, my lovelies.

He put his glasses on, squinted at Dirk for a while and sunk slowly back to the mattress, still working on catching his breath. He actually felt sort of sick, now. He made a quiet sort of groaning sound, noncommittal, to answer Dirk's question.

"Sorry," he mumbled. "Hasn't happened in forever." He sat up again and gave Dirk a sort of withering glance. Despite the fact that he'd just been napping, he looked exhausted. "How long was I asleep?"

"Hhhgh," he grumbled, leaning sideways and dropping his head onto Dirk's shoulder. "I didn't even mean to fall asleep, I'm sorry. Terribly rude."

Jake exhaled roughly in something that was vaguely laugh-like, shaking his head a little against Dirk's shoulder.

"Rude," he said quietly.

"Sad but true," he offered, smiling a little. Now that he was awake, even if he was sort of lethargic and gross-feeling, he felt a little less awful about the vague feelings he was developing for a stranger.

"I don't know where you put everything you eat," he laughed. "But yes, there is probably pie. I imagine gram left us be since she knows the nature of our relations."

"I wouldn't be surprised, actually." He sat away and snickered, shaking his head. "We can go check if you'd like."

Once Dirk put on some pants.

"Mmn, thank you." He shimmied his way back into his shorts and reached out to grab Dirk's hand absently.

When they got back to the kitchen Jade was typing away at a small laptop at the table, and glanced up to smile at them.

"I was wondering when you two would take your hands off each other and come get some pie," she offered, lightly scolding.

Jade looked at their hands and smiled a bit, looking between them. She frowned a little at Jake, but got up to fetch them some pie.

"Jake, before you go back upstairs I have something for you," she offered, and Jake raised an eyebrow.

"...considering you were just talking about Dirk and I's state of affairs I'm apprehensive," he joked, and Jade snickered.

Jake and Jade both made similar expressions when they laughed at that, and Jade presented both boys with slices of pie and tiny forks. Jake made the slightest of faces at his pie. No amount of residual nausea would make him pass up his grandmother's pumpkin pie. Nope.

"Dig in," Jade suggested, taking a fork to her own slice.

Jake just took tiny bites slowly, smiling at Dirk's reaction to it. Jade perked and chewed on her fork for a minute.

"You like it?" She glanced at Jake and they exchanged a nonverbal conversation through expressions.

Jade snorted.

"He would use that," she agreed. Jake just nodded, shrugging one shoulder. He held his fork up at Dirk.

"I told you her pie was phenomenal."
