This is a generic Jakepost to reply to. Because the meme post was all Jake and has some inconceivable amount of comments now so it doesn't like to load. Have at, my lovelies.
Dirk's words were simple enough, but they brought Jake back to the reality of the situation, clawing and shouting that he didn't want to. His heart rose back into his throat, and he thought for a moment that he tasted bile on the back of his tongue. He swallowed, shut his eyes, and nodded.
He was falling for a complete stranger.
"Sorry, mate," he offered thinly, masking his unease in his panting to regain his breath. "We'll get you fixed up in a jif."
"I just acted without thinking about it, that time," Jake admitted, dully, toward the ceiling. He wasn't exactly tired, but his brain was shutting down on him.
He didn't respond, closing his eyes over. He wasn't sleeping, and it was obvious he wasn't sleeping, but he was resting nonetheless. He made no move to tuck himself back into his boxers or shorts, nor to remove them. He didn't really move at all, save for the steady rise and fall of his chest and the occasional twitch of his fingers.
"Sorry," he muttered after a moment, shifting out from underneath of Dirk and rolling onto his side to face the wall. "I don't really feel very well, suddenly." It wasn't really a lie. He just had too much going on in his head to worry about anything else, right then. It was easy to pass that off as a stomachache.
"'s all right," he fudged. "Just a bit too much movement too much after a bit too much food, I think." Which again, wasn't really a lie. His stomach was kind of churning in a terribly unpleasant way.
He was still for a little while, then shrugged his shoulder.
"You're free to linger, if you want. I know how much of a workaholic you are, and I don't mind you using your laptop." He just wanted to stop talking and stop thinking for the moment.
