This is a generic Jakepost to reply to. Because the meme post was all Jake and has some inconceivable amount of comments now so it doesn't like to load. Have at, my lovelies.

Jake's arms went easily around Dirk's middle and he pulled him closer.

"I'm sorry I keep upsetting you," he said.

"It feels a bit unkind to say it's refreshing to see you emote," he frowned when he said it, squinting his eyes almost closed. "But I don't mind at all." His arms squeezed at him a little, reassuring.

Dirk please stop being really fucking cute, Jake is having a hard time coping. He butts his head against Dirk's briefly, nodding with an affirmative grunt and nothing more.

Jake is pretty okay with you letting things out until you're done, considering he's pretty aware of how much you keep under wraps. So he just lets you lean, eyes closed, and sets his cheek atop your hair.

"Mm," Jake intoned, quietly. He squeezed Dirk a little again, shifting to sit more comfortably.

You're the one that broke up with him, Dirk, Jake's willing to let you set the pace for how all this goes. So when he finds himself with a Dirk in his lap, he shifts to allow this, keeping one arm around his waist and setting the other on his own thigh.

The question caught him off-guard, and Jake had to pause for a moment to think about it. He pursed his lips, then nodded.

"I think I would like that, actually."

Jake wasn't expecting the flutter in his stomach or the flare of heat to his cheeks when Dirk's lips connected with his. They'd kissed so many times before that he hadn't figure he'd even really notice-- it was just a kiss. But in that moment, it was so, so much more, and he couldn't bring himself to care when he brought his hands to either side of Dirk's face, framing his jaw just below his ears and pressed into the kiss with a raw sort of desperation that was so very him, and yet so very not.

And just as soon as he'd thrown himself into it, Jake was pulling back with a startled gasp, turning his head to look away. His face burned scarlet behind his glasses, and his heartbeat hammered painfully in his throat.

"I shouldn't have done that," he said quietly.

He really hated how much he wanted Dirk right then. To hold him, to kiss him, to chew on his lower lip just barely until he got frustrated and made him kiss him properly. It wasn't fair of him to want it now, when he'd ignored Dirk probably wanting the very same thing all those times he ignored him. He closed his eyes and let his face draw up in pained frustration, forehead pressed back against Dirk's gently.

He opened his eyes a little and frowned, his face still drawn up funny, but once he pecked his lips forward against Dirk's again once he was done for. Once became twice, became three times and four, and within seconds he had one hand splayed between Dirk's shoulder blades and the other in his hair, pressing into him with his lips and kissing him silly.

He was shaking, and his breath was shaking, too, but he just couldn't stop. He made a sound at Dirk's nibbling, quiet and somewhat reserved but wanton all the same, and he pulled back again, red-faced and frightened.

"Dirk," he said quietly. He didn't continue the thought.

His breath coming in short gasps, Jake nodded wordlessly, but darted forward for another brief kiss, then again for one that lingered. This was not stopping.
