This is a generic Jakepost to reply to. Because the meme post was all Jake and has some inconceivable amount of comments now so it doesn't like to load. Have at, my lovelies.

Jake chortled softly and dug his GPS out of the center console, setting it up and tapping "home" on it. The display popped up a route and a voice that sounded a touch like Steve Irwin, accent and all, came over the speaker to guide them home. Jake leaned against the window and watched Dirk with a sort of placid expression.

Rude, Dirk. Jake's Australian, maybe he likes the accent from home. But regardless, he sort of dozed against the window while Dirk drove home, and was startled when the blonde opened the door and he nearly tumbled right on out of the car. Unbuckling his seatbelt, he chuckled softly and stepped out of the Jeep, grabbing his bag and wandering inside. Bec was sitting at the door looking concerned as soon as they walked in.

"Hey, Bec. Gram's all right, she's just not gonna be home tonight." He crouched down and scritched at the sides of the beastly dog's face, who whined again but butted his head into Jake's collarbone affectionately.

For the moment, it seemed, Jake was pretty mellow. He made a faint humming sound not unlike a chuckle when Dirk's arms went around his waist-- it was like he was getting hugged from both sides. He closed his eyes and leaned back into Dirk for a moment, appreciating both him and Bec's warmth on either side of him.

"...I should feed him," he offered after a moment, over his shoulder to Dirk. "Have you eaten?"

"I'll make everybody some dinner, then," he said lightly, and Bec sat back on his haunches, clearly excited. His entire back end wagged with his tail. Jake chuckled, and dislodged himself from Dirk, then turning around to offer him a hand.

"Maybe," Jake replied, smiling faintly. "Any requests?"

Jake chuckled. "I'm okay, you realize," he said, rubbing his nose gently against Dirk's and lingering in the kiss. "Are you sure there's not something you want?"

Jake rolled his eyes and shook his head, covering his face with his hands. "You are so completely shameless, oh my God," he offered with a laugh, slipping an arm around Dirk's waist and pulling him closer. "Come help me scare something up, then."

"And you want to make use of the shower rail," Jake interjected, rolling his eyes. "Bec is just gonna get fancy pup chow, he can't have onions and I have an idea for something to make."

He just shook his head. "Shameless," he repeated, taking the onion from him. "Do you wanna chop this up or put Bec's food together for him?"

"You don't have to know what I'm making to chop an onion," he said with a grin, but nodded. "Bec will appreciate it." He pulled out a knife and cutting board and set the onion on it, wandering over to a loaf of bread on the counter and taking a slice out. He tore it in half and offered half to Dirk, absently, sticking the other half in his mouth.

He pressed the bread to the roof of his mouth and went back to the cutting board, cutting the onion in half and then dicing it.

Jake paused, turning to look at Dirk and shake his head.

"Come here, you," he said.

Jake leaned backward into him, chuckling.

"I don't mind, if you want to just sit," he offered, swallowing his bread now that he was done cutting the onion. He picked up a piece of the freshly-diced onion and popped it in his mouth.
